maconncliteracy

The Literacy & Learning Center (TL&LC) is excited to announce the addition of Violeta Rojas Quintero to its team as a part-time Pre-K Assistant. Violeta brings a wealth of experience and a passion for early childhood education to her new role.

As a mother of four, Violeta understands the importance of providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young children. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to help guide and teach the youngest TL&LC students, equipping them with the social and academic skills they need to thrive in kindergarten and beyond.

Violeta's experience with TL&LC has made her even more committed to the Center's mission. Several of her children have benefited from TL&LC's programs, and she is eager to contribute to the success of other families.

Pre-K Director Carolyn Middlebrooks is particularly excited to have Violeta join the team, especially given her fluency in Spanish. This will be a valuable asset in supporting the many native Spanish-speaking children in the class.

Staff are thrilled to welcome Violeta to the TL&LC family and look forward to her contributions to the Pre-K program.

Violeta's Book Recommendation:

As a parent, Violeta highly recommends the book "No-Drama Discipline: The Whole-Brain Way to Calm the Chaos and Nurture Your Child's Developing Mind" by Daniel J. Siegel, M.D. She believes that while there's no one-size-fits-all guide to parenting, this book provides valuable insights into understanding children's behavior and communication styles. By learning the "language of children," parents can create a more harmonious and nurturing environment for their families.
