The Literacy & Learning Center is now accepting applications for its esteemed Pre-K program for the 2025-26 school year. This program is designed for children aged 3 and 4 years old who are eager to embark on a journey of learning and discovery.
At the heart of TL&LC's Pre-K philosophy lies a commitment to nurturing a warm and engaging environment where children feel safe to explore and grow. Through meaningful play and hands-on activities, children develop essential social-emotional skills, cultivate a love of learning, and build a strong foundation for academic success.
Led by Pre-K Director Carolyn Middlebrooks, a dedicated educator with a proven track record in early childhood development, the program fosters a supportive community where children and their families thrive. Middlebrooks' expertise ensures a rich and stimulating learning experience for every child.
To apply for the TL&LC Pre-K program, children must be toilet trained. A play-based assessment at TL&LC is required for both the child and their parent/guardian. Parents/guardians must also agree to TL&LC's program policies and commit to reading to their child for at least 15 minutes daily. Children will need to bring their own snacks to school each day.
