With the arrival of spring, summer is just around the corner and The Literacy & Learning Center has a suite of summer camps lined up for your little ones! An array of topics will cater to students from kindergarten through eighth grade. The kick-off for TLLC summer camp is June 24 and the final camp wraps up August 9. If your child is on the plateau and ready for a learning adventure during those weeks, don’t miss these opportunities.
Camp subjects include STEM, crafts, cooking, digital leadership, and science/nature. These will be led by select teachers from Highlands School and other area schools. In addition, TL&LC’s own Carolyn Middlebrooks will also provide a special session for rising Kindergarteners that will help prepare them for the skills they will need to succeed in the coming school year.
For details and descriptions of each camp, please visit TheLiteracyandLearningCenter.org/Programs. Please be aware that to register a child, it will be necessary to create a free account with the software program that is now being utilized by the Center. You will be directed after clicking on “Register.” For further questions, please feel free to contact Caroline Cox, Programs Manager, at CCox@TheLiteracyandLearningCenter.org or 8280526-0863.
